Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,
Psalm 17:8-9 “Keep me as the apple of Your eye; Hide me under the shadow of Your wings, 9 From the wicked who oppress me, from my deadly enemies who surround me.” The apple of our eye is our pupil. It’s the black part in the center of our eye that we don’t want anything to touch. As we consider life’s foes and obstacles, may we turn to God to protect us as the apple of His eye.
Tomorrow is Senior Lunch. We meet at Rolling Meadows Restaurant at noon and order off the menu. Our study will be from the last half of 1 Thessalonians 5. Come for the food, fellowship, and encouragement from the Word.
Pray for us as we minister on Wednesday to the Roger Birschbach family. A visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral time of 1:00 p.m. Pray for grace to abound as the gospel is spoken. Pray for healing from grief and wisdom for the family.
Come by the church this Friday afternoon or Saturday morning, September 27-28, to pick up a yummy Dutch Apple Pie. The pies are frozen and sell for $15. They keep well and will be a delightful part of your holiday meal. This is a great fundraiser for our school. If you have time to volunteer on Thursday through Saturday, speak with Beth B.
Continue to pray for healing for Pastor Siedschlag. His road to recovery is going to take months. Pray too for David F, Van and Patty’s son. He will have open heart surgery on October 10th. Praise God that Anita has regain health and was back in church yesterday. Continue to pray too for strength for Carolyn O.
This are busy times. The secular news shouts at us every day. Many venues of entertainment demand our attention. Conflict in our world and in many homes seems to be normal. In all of this, we must focus upon God. May we see Jesus in God’s Word. And may we imitate Him in our struggles.
Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
