Joel and Joanie Troester, March 2012

We are heading around the last bend of our furlough. As always, time has flown. What a blessing it has been! We plan to visit four more churches, and one Bible college missions conference, as well as meet with the missions committees of two churches in the next 6 weeks before our departure date of April 18th.

Since Christmas life has been exciting. Joanie, Kristin and Sharon headed to Brazil in time for the arrival of our 3rd grandchild, Anna Sophia, born to Carolyn and Ari. Before joining them, I visited churches in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Arizona. The trip to Arizona afforded an opportunity to visit a friend from college days and my parents in their Texas winter get-away. It was a great trip. From there I joined the family activities in Brazil, as well as spoke at a conference in the church where our son-in-law is pastor. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with our grandchildren – and their parents! Since it’s been almost 2 years since we’ve seen them last, Daniel, 3½, was surprised that he has two sets of real live grandparents. He had remembered that we talk to him on the computer. Now he and Sammy have memories of our times together.

As we look forward to our return to Mozambique, may I share a few prayer requests?

1.The soon return of our renewed passports and our entire visa application process.

2.All of the preparations that need to get done for our return (purchase of many little items without getting carried away. It would be helpful to be able to take so many things but we do not want problems as we enter.

3.For the location of a house to rent – back in our old neighborhood.

It will be exciting to see the hand of God at work in each of these areas.

We’d like to invite you to watch the testimonies of Carlitos and Silva (about 3-4 minutes each) of how God has worked in their lives through your prayers. http://vimeo.com/33626504

Thanks for all your support in every way,

Joel and Joanie Troester
