Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family: “O LORD, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth.” This is the first line of Psalm 8 – the passage Trinity Baptist School is memorizing during the month of November. I am having a week where I feel like a dog chasing its tail – a lot of activity, but little progress! In such a week it is assuring to know that God has and excellent name and that He is my Lord. God is our unchanging Rock.
Pray for our missionaries. Missionary Carolyn Price has asked us to pray for political calm and safety for Christians in the country of Bolivia. Pray for safety and wisdom for Lloyd Peace as he flies to remote areas along the Amazon. The Smiths have asked that we pray for them as they care for JoAnn’s aged dad. Pray also for a better place for their church to meet in Buenos Aires. Pray for support for Bergens and Oetmans. Pray for the giving to missions at Trinity Baptist.
This Lord’s Day, Missionary Roland Eklou and family will be with us in teen/adult Sunday School and in the evening preaching. He grew up in Togo, Africa and is familiar with the ABWE hospital ministry that we learned about last month. He has finished his degrees at Moody Bible and an internship at Calvary Bible here in Fond du Lac. He will tell us about the work he wants to do back in Togo.
We return to our Proverbs series this week. We are going to be talking about wisdom for our home-life. Most of us know better than we do. I think there is something here for all of us to work on.
Praise God for His goodness. His person is as excellent as His name!
