Dear Trinity Baptist Church Family,
Psalm 96:1-3 “Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day. 3 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.” Need I add any commentary?
I have shared with many that my Dad, Leon Leeds, has been in a hospital in Waupaca on hospice care since Tuesday. He is declining day by day and won’t be in this world long. Pray for grace in these last days for my Dad. Pray for Bertie, my step-mom. She insists upon staying with him and so has not been to her home since Monday evening. We rejoice in Dad’s spirit and in his legacy of serving Jesus. He is ready to go home. So, as Paul tells us, “We sorrow not as others who have no hope.”
Once again we had a very successful Awana Pie Auction. Between sales and gifts, I am told we raised over $3,000. Praise God. Half of that will be used to strengthen our Awana program and the other half will be used for church start up costs for our missionaries to Spain, Jon and Priscilla Laase.
Sunday is Church Dinner Day! We have our “normal” adult Sunday School. I will be preaching about Pastors from the second half of 1 Timothy 5. And then we have a time of food and fellowship. Bring enough for your family and a little bit more. Pie leftovers are welcome!
Then, Sunday evening, November 24th at 5:00 p.m. we are decorating the church for Christmas! So go home, take a nap, make a savory or sweet finger food, and come back for an evening of music, fellowship, food, and church decorating. Ladders are welcome. If you have ideas or questions talk to Beth B. We had a great turn out last year. Join in the fun!
We will have no Awana nor regular bible study on Wednesday, November 27th. We will have a Thanksgiving Service at 7:00 p.m. and all are invited.
Winter temperatures are coming and the darkness is growing, but we need not let the weather and season determine our level of joy. Sing to the Lord!
Embracing Truth. Equipping Saints.
