2012 January Boisvert Newletter

As you all probably know by now, When EBM closed their doors, we were in East Africa teaching. This verse was demonstrated for us in three ways: “dwells”, “shelter” and “abiding”, and we are grateful.

SHELTER: The Lord directed that our shelter was to be given by Grace Baptist Church of Cedarville, Ohio who has now formed Grace Global Ministries. We thank all of you who sheltered our funds from the collapse, and have sent in your giving to GBC/GGM on our behalf. We were truly overwhelmed by the many ways you offered support to us: encouragement, prayers, tangible help such as special offerings, and just being careful with your money for us. Both our Sending Church and our Home Church were wonderful in helping us navigate the waters and making sure our ministry could continue. This gave us a new dimension of appreciation for the term “Supporting Church”. We feel very loved. Many thanks! Our support can continue being sent to:

ABIDE: This came about in the form of that tremendous peace that passes understanding. Once we had done all we could, and had landed in Africa, we were able to put everything aside, and teach. About 2 weeks into our trip Cheryl said to Doug, “either there is something very wrong with me, or this is that peace that passes understanding, because I can’t even work up a good “fret”. God has provided just enough light each step of the way, and some wonderful co-workers who were a few steps ahead of us in the process. We still have some work to do to figure out what serving under this Board as the entity of Tri-M looks like. Please pray for the mind of Christ to be very clear to each of us in this area.

DWELLS: To dwell, one has to do some housekeeping, and so do we. Our paper copy prayer letter list is 16 years old and needs help. We now have to consider how best to handle our prayer letters (after EBM’s closing) and to tell the truth, we have no idea of all the changes that have occurred for each of YOU over the years. Some of you have signed up for email copies, which is easier, cheaper and more frequent for you. If you are still receiving a hard copy through USPS please let us know either by replying to this email update or through the postcard in the next mailing you receive.

PLEASE KNOW THAT WE DO WANT TO STAY CONNECTED TO EVERYONE. If you have someone else that you know desires to pray with us and continue to receive the hard copy but might not be able to return the postcard to us, please communicate that to us as well. We love each of you in the Lord and covet your prayers. Your help will be appreciated in this matter.

THREE MORE MODULES FOR PRAYER
Friday January 20 we leave for almost a month in East Africa. The 1st week we are in Uganda with Pastor Robert Sityo. Your prayers have made a difference in His life as well as ours: he has passed on to us at Christmas :

“I thank God and all friends those I know and those that I do not know who contributed financially and prayerful to me for my treatment and total healing. Am so proud of all of you and so glad to know that i have people who love and appreciate what we do here in Africa, please you have shown me much love than I deserved and may God bless you for everything you have done for me. As you might be knowing there is no machine here in Uganda to test if the cancer is gone completely, so I will be visiting the Oncologist next after 6 weeks for review and I think after that I will be visiting him every after three months for the same. As for now am a free man and very soon, I will be resuming full time ministry and Feel God has engaged another gear in my life for me to love and serve Him than I have ever did and have helped me to know Him better.”

Doug will teach the book of Acts with an emphasis on African Church history. Both of us will teach Christian Marriage as well. Cheryl has a large group of women who are either widows or unmarried, so she wants God’s wisdom on how to approach the topic.

The week of Jan 29 we will be with Thomas Odari in Western Kenya, in a remote area, teaching the same. This is a young couple who serves us in their home and we desire to be available to assist them however possible. Pastor Thomas vision of an army of trained men for Kenyan villages is materializing.

The week of January 5 we will be in Arusha, Tanzania teaching in our new site. There will be discussions relating to requests for new teaching sites, and discernment and wisdom is needed for Doug. Then for Valentine’s Day, Doug is bringing Cheryl Home! Isn’t he a romantic?

We are so honored to be used by God to assist wonderful brothers and sisters to do what God has called them to do. Thanks for making this possible.

If you like our new format, please know that you have Mr. Jim Johnson to thank for the design and set up! We thank God for his gifts and desire to use them for Christ on our behalf.
