This coming Sunday Pastor is going to be speaking 3 times! That’s likely a troubling thing to some. During the Sunday School hour I am going to talk about Baptist polity – especially as it has historically been practiced. During the 10a worship and preaching hour we are looking at 1 Timothy 4 and talk about “Good and Bad Ministers.” Bring a dish to pass and plan to stay for our church dinner right after the morning service. Then our devotions after dinner will be from Abram’s life – Genesis 14. See you in church!

This Lord’s Day our adult Bible study teacher’s will be in Ephesians 3:13-21 – a second prayer of Paul’s for the Ephesians. I will be in James for the second in our new series called “Faith that Works.” We have Men’s and Ladies’ Meetings at 5:30p and Lord’s Table at our 6:30p service.

WACS basketball tournament is history

Both our guys’ and girls’ basketball teams came home from the WACS Tournament with 4th place finishes. Though they played well, they both suffered two losses at the tournament. All State recognition went to Savannah Westra, Charlie Leeds, and Justin Eckberg. Jerome Vogt was on the All Tournament team. Some of us can’t help but be a little disappointed with the results of the tournament.

I begin a new preaching series this Lord’s Day at 10a. It is a 4-week sermon series on the book of Esther. This is an amazing drama worthy of the best efforts of screen and stage. Come learn about the working of God in a pagan land 2500 years ago. During our 8:45a hour, the adult Bible study teachers are continuing their work through the book of Ephesians from the Word of God.
