Souped Up! report and Awana Games reminder

First, I want to thank the friends, parents, community partners, businesses, TBS students, and TBS staff that worked together to make yesterday’s fund raiser a good success. Dozens of people put in many hours to bring it all together. Though I don’t have monetary results at this time, I can tell you we made by my count 23 roasters of soup – that’s about 400 quarts. I think we almost doubled the amount of soup that businesses purchased at lunch time this year.

We have 28 quarts of soup in the freezer at the church available on a first-come, first served basis for $7 each. They include: 11 Sunday Dinner (pork roast and vegetables in a beef gravy), 6 Reuben (corned beef and sauerkraut creamed), 4 Ham N Bean, and 7 Italian Tortellini. They will be available for purchase Sunday morning after church.

Tomorrow is Awana Games. Competing Clubbers should meet at the church at 11:30a. They should return by 4p.

Sunday is our last sermon from Joel. The theme of Joel is The Day of the LORD. Tomorrow we are going to see that That Day include promises of deliverance for God’s people.

Embracing Truth,

Pastor
