Thank you for your continued prayers for the ministry here in the Amazon. We were able to post some pictures last night. For those of you who are interested, here is the link: www.facebook.com/lloydandathenapeace (you do not need a Facebook account to access these photos).
The retreat in June went well. There were teens who committed to make changes in their lives. Please pray for them as they work to implement these decisions. There were close to 90 who participated.
Last week, Lloyd and Pastor Henrique flew up to two Indian villages. The first stop was to drop off Bibles and song books; the second was to handle some church business. To reach the first stop, it takes six hours by canoe; it took only twenty minutes in the airplane. It takes seventeen hours in a canoe to reach the second village, yet it only took an hour and ten minutes in the plane. For those of you who are acquainted with brothers Paul and John Schlener, the second stop was right near the Port of Two Brothers. We are excited to see how God is already using the plane to reach out to communities upriver.
This family picture was taken today. In ten days, it will have been two years since Athena finished her chemotherapy. We are grateful that God has allowed us to continue ministering in the Amazon and are thankful for you, our prayer warriors and supporters, who are an integral part of the ministry. Lloyd and Athena
