Carolyn Price prayer letter – September 14, 2013

I am back in Santa Cruz for 4 days and wanted to send you some pictures as part of my prayer update and Vallegrande journey.  Thanks to all who have been praying.  I was able to complete 26 lessons, 12 of which are ready to be put into a book.  Our goals is to put 10 lessons in each book and we have reached our first goal (one of many)!  I do have a secret…though.  I did the easiest lessons first!  I’m not sure that I can complete 26 more over the next two weeks, but we will just keep plugging away.  Rosa and her family have been more than a blessing, protecting my time that I might work on the teacher’s guides for the lessons.  Marisol is such an encouragement, too, and has helped to make the lessons clearer.    Truly I am blessed by such a team to work with in the weeks ahead!

Marisol and her husband (pastor the church in Vallegrande) have asked me to help them with puppets that they will be presenting in various schools.  This should take place at the end of September, so please pray for this opportunity to share the gospel and Jesus with the children that will be present.

I head back to Vallegrande on Tuesday.  I will return to Santa Cruz on the 4th or 5th of October.  I’ll try to write again then!

Prayer requests:
1.  Continued wisdom in working on the lessons (organization and teacher’s guides.)
2.  Outreach with puppets at the end of September.
3.  Please pray with me for the stamina needed to work on the lessons.  It is not hard physically, but it is taxing mentally.  By the end of the day, I’m whipped! (That’s Oklahoman for dead-dog tired!) (Which is probably an Oklahoman phrase, too…in other words, I’m downright beat!)  🙂

QUOTE FOR THE DAY (This quote was shared in a prayer letter written by Missionary Michael Miller who is serving with his family in Icla, Bolivia. It is not original with him, but it has an amazing truth.  This is why I wanted to share it with you:  THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!!)

“Prayer remains one of the great and glorious mysteries of the universe-that the all knowing, all-wise, all sovereign God should ordain to run His world in response to our prayers is mind boggling.  But that is the uniform witness of Scripture.  God hears and answers the prayers of His people.  O do not neglect this amazing way of influencing nations . . . churches and people’s hearts, especially your own.”

Your sister in Christ in Bolivia,
Carolyn
