Pray for friends of our ministry - Tom and Carol Beardsley. Carol called the EMTs this morning because Tom did not respond to her. The doctors told her that Tom has bled in his brain and is not going to heal. Pray for Carol, her son Scott, and his wife as they wait for Tom to pass on. Pray for God's strength for all of them at this time.

I wanted to write and tell you about my day in Betânia last Tuesday. During the morning class, which is mostly older teens, we got sidetracked from the lesson and talking about evolution.

I want to thank those who wrote to say they are praying for Cynthia's mom. When I shared this with Julia, her eyes filled up with tears. She even let me pray with her in the hospital room! Truly, even my own heart was touched by the response to my email asking prayer for her.

· Stephanie Hanes grandfather passed away on Monday. Visitation is this evening. Funeral is tomorrow at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church in the valley. Pray for the family and especially for the testimony of Ted and Stephanie.

Stephanie Hanes' grandfather, Paul Klein, passed away on Monday. The funeral will be on thursday at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church. Visitation will be at the Valley Funeral Home in Appleton from 4-7p on Wednesday, April 7th.

Pray for God's sustaining grace for Ted and Stephanie and Stephanie's family.

On April 11, the nation of Sudan will hold its first election in 24 years. For most southern Sudanese, this will be their first-ever election. Committees from the Sudanese government have traveled around southern Sudan over the past few months, registering voters and educating people on the voting process.

Karen Beltz passed away Monday afternoon. She is one of the few church members who where part of Trinity Baptist before Pastor Leeds came in 1991. Please pray for her husband, Ed, and their family at this time.

Funeral arrangements have yet to be made.

We have some exciting news to share with you. We trust you will join us in praising God because the permanent visas for Athena and the kids have been granted! This has been a long process. We plan to leave Santo Antônio on May 7th headed to Tabatinga on the slow boat (hammocks). It will take 2 days to get there.
